Analisa Karakteristik Batupasir dan Provenance Formasi Lemau Daerah Ulak Bandung Kabupaten Kaur Provinsi Bengkulu

Abstract


Kegiatan Penelitian dilakukan di Daerah Ulak Bandung Kabupaten Kaur Provinsi Bengkulu. Batuan beku pada daerah penelitian tersebar dengan cukup luas dan mempunyai karakteristik yang menarik baik secara megaskopis maupun secara petrografi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik, komposisi, dan Penamaan batupasir pada daerah penelitian. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi observasi lapangan dan analisis petrografi menggunakan mikroskop polarisasi pada sampel sayatan tipis yang telah diambil dari lokasi penelitian. Berdasarkan presentase mineral didapatkan dua sampel masuk ke jenis sublitharenite dan satu sampel masuk ke jenis litharenite serta tiga sampel masuk ke Feldspastic wacke. Dari tatanan tektonik sampel masuk kedalam 2 zona yaitu magmatic arc dan recucled orogen. Untuk zona magmatic arc terdiri dari sampel batupasir TML 12 sub – zona dissected arc, TMl 20 sub – zona Transitonal arc, TMl 25 sub – zona transitional  arc dan TML 66 sub – zona dissected arc, sementara zona recycled orogen terbagi atas sampel TML 40 sub – zona quartzose recycled, dan  TML 69 sub – zona quartzose recycled. Mineral kuarsa pada semua sampel batupasir berasal dari batuan beku asam atau plutonik berupa Granit yang mengalami proses metamorfosa berderajat rendah (low rank metamorphic).
